Juliana Triana (b. 2004, Miami, Florida) was raised in Colombia, where she spent most of her childhood before returning to the United States at eighteen to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art at Florida International University. During her sophomore year, she joined the Academy of Figurative and Portrait Painting under the direction of Professor David Chang, an experience that strengthened her technical foundation and deepened her confidence as an artist. At FIU, she also restarted the Fine Art Student Association, where she has hosted student exhibitions and organized art-centered events for the university community.

Triana works primarily in oil paint, focusing on figurative compositions that often portray people close to her. Her paintings explore vibrant color, decorative patterns, and carefully considered compositions. While her current body of work emphasizes aesthetic exploration rather than overt narrative, it reflects her ongoing process of discovering a personal visual language.
